أعلن الاتحاد الدولي لكرة القدم (فيفا) اعتماد مجموعة من التعديلات التحكيمية الجديدة خلال كأس العالم 2026، بهدف تعزيز الانضباط وتسريع إيقاع المباريات وتحسين دقة القرارات التحكيمية.
ومن أبرز التعديلات الجديدة، إمكانية طرد أي لاعب يتعمد تغطية فمه أثناء التحدث إلى لاعب منافس خلال المشادات داخل الملعب، في إطار مكافحة الإساءات اللفظية والعنصرية التي يصعب رصدها.
كما أصبح بإمكان الحكم طرد أي لاعب يغادر أرض الملعب احتجاجاً أو غضباً من أحد القرارات التحكيمية، في خطوة تهدف إلى الحد من السلوكيات غير الرياضية.
وفي ما يتعلق بإهدار الوقت، سيطبق الحكام عدّاً تنازلياً مدته خمس ثوانٍ عند تنفيذ رميات التماس وضربات المرمى. وفي حال عدم التنفيذ ضمن المهلة المحددة، تُمنح الكرة للفريق المنافس، سواء عبر رمية تماس أو ركلة ركنية بحسب الحالة.
وشملت التعديلات أيضاً إلزام اللاعبين المستبدلين بمغادرة أرض الملعب خلال عشر ثوانٍ فقط، وإلا سيتوجب على اللاعب البديل الانتظار دقيقة إضافية قبل الدخول.
أما اللاعب المصاب الذي يحتاج إلى تدخل طبي داخل أرض الملعب، فسيُطلب منه البقاء خارج الملعب لمدة دقيقة قبل العودة إلى اللعب.
كما وسّع فيفا صلاحيات تقنية حكم الفيديو المساعد (VAR)، لتشمل مراجعة حالات البطاقة الصفراء الثانية، إضافة إلى بعض القرارات المتعلقة بالركنيات التي قد تُحتسب بشكل خاطئ.
The governing body of world football, FIFA, has announced a set of new refereeing regulations for the 2026 World Cup aimed at improving discipline, increasing the pace of matches, and enhancing the accuracy of officiating decisions.
Among the most notable changes is the possibility of sending off any player who deliberately covers his mouth while speaking to an opposing player during on-field confrontations, as part of efforts to combat verbal abuse and racist remarks that are difficult to detect.
Referees will also be empowered to issue a red card to any player who leaves the field in protest or anger over a refereeing decision, in a move designed to reduce unsporting behavior.
To combat time-wasting, officials will apply a five-second countdown for throw-ins and goal kicks. If the restart is not taken within the allotted time, possession will be awarded to the opposing team, either through a throw-in or a corner kick depending on the situation.
The new rules also require substituted players to leave the field within ten seconds. Failure to do so will result in the incoming substitute having to wait an additional minute before entering the match.
In addition, an injured player who receives medical treatment on the field will be required to remain off the pitch for one minute before being allowed to return.
FIFA has also expanded the powers of the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) system to include reviews of second-yellow-card incidents, as well as certain corner-kick decisions that may have been awarded incorrectly.
