شهدت الساعات الماضية جولة جديدة من التواصل الدبلوماسي بين السعودية وإيران، مع اتصال هاتفي جمع وزير الخارجية السعودي الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بنظيره الإيراني عباس عراقجي، في ظل التصعيد الإقليمي والمفاوضات الجارية بين طهران وواشنطن.
وبحسب ما أعلنته الجهات الرسمية، تناول الاتصال التطورات السياسية والأمنية في المنطقة، إضافة إلى ملف الوساطة الباكستانية والمحادثات الإيرانية ـ الأميركية، إلى جانب الجهود المبذولة لخفض التوتر والحفاظ على الاستقرار الإقليمي.
ويأتي هذا التواصل بعد أيام فقط من اتصال مماثل بين الوزيرين، في مؤشر على استمرار التنسيق السياسي بين الرياض وطهران في مرحلة تشهد تحولات متسارعة على مستوى المنطقة.
وأكدت الخارجية الإيرانية أن النقاش شمل أيضاً سبل دعم الاستقرار وتعزيز التوازن الإقليمي في مواجهة التحديات الحالية، فيما شدد الطرفان على أهمية الحلول السياسية والدبلوماسية لتجنب المزيد من التصعيد.
وتتزامن هذه الاتصالات مع استمرار التوترات المرتبطة بالحرب الدائرة والتطورات الأمنية في الخليج ولبنان، إضافة إلى استمرار المحادثات غير المباشرة بين إيران والولايات المتحدة.
كما يعكس هذا الحراك استمرار مسار التقارب السعودي ـ الإيراني منذ استئناف العلاقات بين البلدين، وسط توقعات بأن يسهم هذا التواصل في تخفيف حدة التوتر وفتح قنوات تفاهم أوسع في ملفات المنطقة.
Over the past hours, a new round of diplomatic communication took place between Saudi Arabia and Iran, with a phone call between Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi amid regional escalation and ongoing negotiations between Tehran and Washington.
According to official statements, the call addressed political and security developments in the region, including the Pakistani mediation file and the Iranian-American talks, in addition to efforts aimed at reducing tensions and preserving regional stability.
This communication comes only days after a similar call between the two ministers, signaling continued political coordination between Riyadh and Tehran during a period marked by rapid regional changes.
The Iranian Foreign Ministry stated that discussions also covered ways to support stability and strengthen regional balance in the face of current challenges, while both sides stressed the importance of political and diplomatic solutions to avoid further escalation.
These contacts coincide with ongoing tensions related to the war and security developments in the Gulf and Lebanon, as well as the continuation of indirect talks between Iran and the United States.
The diplomatic movement also reflects the continuation of the Saudi-Iranian rapprochement process since the restoration of relations between the two countries, amid expectations that such communication could help ease tensions and open broader channels of understanding on regional issues.
