لوّح قائد قوة القدس في الحرس الثوري الإيراني إسماعيل قاآني بإمكانية اتساع رقعة المواجهة في المنطقة، محذّراً من أن استمرار الاعتداءات الإسرائيلية على لبنان وقطاع غزة قد يدفع قوى محور المقاومة إلى تفعيل جبهات إضافية دعماً للجبهتين اللبنانية والفلسطينية.
واعتبر قاآني أن الدعم الأميركي لإسرائيل يساهم في تصعيد التوتر، مشيراً إلى أن التطورات الحالية قد تنعكس أيضاً على الممرات البحرية الاستراتيجية، في إشارة إلى مضيقي باب المندب وهرمز.
وأضاف أن العمليات الإسرائيلية المتواصلة قد تؤدي إلى تصعيد أكبر في المنطقة، مؤكداً أن تل أبيب ستواجه تداعيات ما وصفها بـ«الجرائم المستمرة» في لبنان وغزة.
في موازاة ذلك، كشفت مصادر إيرانية أن طهران لم تحسم بعد موقفها النهائي من المقترحات المطروحة مع الولايات المتحدة، وأن المشاورات لا تزال مستمرة داخل المؤسسات المعنية.
وبحسب المصادر، لم ترسل إيران حتى الآن ردها النهائي على النص المتداول، مؤكدة أنها تتعامل بحذر مع أي تفاهم جديد بسبب تجارب سابقة تتعلق بعدم التزام واشنطن بتعهداتها.
وشددت المصادر على أن طهران تسعى إلى ضمانات وآليات تنفيذية واضحة قبل الموافقة على أي اتفاق محتمل، مؤكدة أن النقاشات لا تزال مفتوحة ولم تُتخذ أي قرارات نهائية حتى الآن.
Esmail Qaani warned of the possibility of a broader regional confrontation, cautioning that continued Israeli attacks on Lebanon and the Gaza Strip could prompt forces within the so-called Axis of Resistance to activate additional fronts in support of the Lebanese and Palestinian arenas.
Qaani argued that American support for Israel is contributing to escalating tensions, adding that current developments could also affect strategic maritime routes, in an apparent reference to the Bab el-Mandeb and Hormuz straits.
He added that Israel’s ongoing military operations could lead to wider escalation across the region, asserting that Tel Aviv would face the consequences of what he described as its “continued crimes” in Lebanon and Gaza.
Meanwhile, Iranian sources revealed that Tehran has not yet finalized its position regarding proposals under discussion with the United States, and that consultations remain ongoing within the relevant institutions.
According to the sources, Iran has not yet submitted its final response to the circulating draft, emphasizing that it is approaching any new understanding with caution due to previous experiences involving what it views as Washington’s failure to honor its commitments.
The sources stressed that Tehran is seeking clear guarantees and implementation mechanisms before approving any potential agreement, adding that discussions remain open and that no final decisions have been made so far.
