في تطور قضائي يسلّط الضوء على تعقيدات المشهد الأمني في ليبيا، أعلن فريق الدفاع عن سيف الإسلام القذافي أن التحقيقات في قضية اغتياله لا تزال تراوح مكانها، رغم مرور 90 يوماً على الحادثة، وسط اتهامات بتأخير غير مبرر وتعطيل للإجراءات القانونية.
وأوضح الفريق أن النيابة العامة كانت قد حدّدت 3 مشتبهين في الجريمة، إلا أنهم لم يُعتقلوا حتى الآن، مشيراً إلى أن بعضهم يتحصّن ضمن مجموعات مسلّحة، ما أعاق تنفيذ أوامر القبض الصادرة بحقهم.
وفي هذا السياق، أكد المحامي خالد الزايدي وجود "تأخر غير مبرر" في كشف حقيقة الاغتيال، لافتاً إلى أن الاكتفاء بتحديد هوية المتهمين من دون استكمال الإجراءات القضائية يطرح تساؤلات حول جدية التعاطي مع الملف.
كما كشف فريق الدفاع أنه تقدّم بأكثر من 14 طلباً قانونياً للحصول على معلومات وتوضيحات، لكنها قوبلت بالصمت، معتبراً أن ذلك يشكّل إخلالاً بمبادئ العدالة وحق الدفاع في الوصول إلى الأدلة.
وحذّر الزايدي من أن استمرار التأخير قد يؤدي إلى ضياع الأدلة وإفلات المتورطين من العقاب، داعياً إلى تحريك الملف بشكل عاجل وضمان مسار قضائي شفاف.
في موازاة ذلك، تتصاعد ردود الفعل الشعبية، لا سيما في أوساط أنصار النظام السابق، حيث طُرحت تساؤلات حول أسباب التأخر في كشف ملابسات الجريمة، وسط مطالبات بمحاسبة المسؤولين وكشف هوية الجناة.
كما دعت جهات قبلية وشبابية إلى تحرّك أوسع للضغط باتجاه تسريع التحقيقات، محذّرة من تداعيات استمرار الغموض على الاستقرار الداخلي.
وتأتي هذه القضية في سياق أوسع من الانتقادات التي تواجهها السلطات الليبية، على خلفية بطء إجراءات التقاضي، خصوصاً في القضايا ذات الطابع السياسي والأمني، حيث غالباً ما تبقى ملفات الاغتيالات من دون حسم واضح، في ظل تعقيدات أمنية وتداخلات سياسية.
In a judicial development highlighting the complexity of Libya’s security landscape, the defense team of Saif al-Islam Gaddafi announced that investigations into his assassination remain stalled, 90 days after the incident, amid accusations of unjustified delays and obstruction of legal procedures.
The team stated that the public prosecution had identified three suspects, but none have been arrested so far, noting that some are sheltered within armed groups, hindering the تنفيذ of arrest warrants.
Lawyer Khaled al-Zaidi pointed to an “unjustified delay” in uncovering the truth, stressing that merely identifying suspects without completing judicial procedures raises questions about the seriousness of the case.
The defense also revealed it had submitted more than 14 legal requests for information and clarification, all met with silence, considering this a violation of justice principles and the right to access evidence.
Al-Zaidi warned that continued delays could lead to loss of evidence and allow those involved to escape accountability, calling for urgent action and a transparent judicial process.
Meanwhile, public reactions are growing, particularly among supporters of the former regime, with increasing questions about the delay in revealing the circumstances of the crime and calls to hold those responsible accountable.
Tribal and youth groups have also called for broader action to pressure authorities into accelerating the investigation, warning of the impact of continued ambiguity on internal stability.
This case comes amid wider criticism of Libyan authorities over slow judicial processes, especially in politically and security-sensitive cases, where assassination files often remain unresolved due to security complexities and political interference.
