أكد عضو كتلة «الوفاء للمقاومة» النائب علي المقداد أن رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري تفاجأ بنتائج الاتفاق الأخير، مشيراً إلى أنه لم يكن يتوقع المآلات التي انتهى إليها حتى لو كانت هناك اتصالات أو وساطات سابقة مرتبطة به.
وفي ما يتعلق بتصريحات الرئيس الأميركي دونالد ترامب حول وجود تواصل مع حزب الله، نفى المقداد وجود أي قنوات اتصال مباشرة مع الولايات المتحدة، مؤكداً أن الحزب لا يجري أي تواصل مباشر لا مع ترامب ولا مع أي مسؤول أميركي آخر.
وأوضح أن الاتصالات تتم حصراً عبر وسطاء ودول تلعب أدواراً في نقل الرسائل وإدارة التواصل غير المباشر، لافتاً إلى أن دولاً مثل قطر والسعودية ومصر تضطلع بهذا الدور سواء مع الدولة اللبنانية أو عبر رئيس مجلس النواب نبيه بري.
Ali Al-Moqdad, a member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to the Resistance bloc, stated that Nabih Berri was surprised by the outcome of the recent agreement, noting that he did not expect the developments that ultimately resulted from it, even if previous contacts or mediation efforts had been related to the process.
Regarding statements by Donald Trump about the existence of communication with Hezbollah, Al-Moqdad denied that there are any direct channels of communication with the United States, stressing that the party does not engage in direct contact with Trump or any other American official.
He explained that communications take place exclusively through intermediaries and countries that play a role in conveying messages and managing indirect contacts. He noted that countries such as Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt perform this role, whether with the Lebanese state or through Speaker Nabih Berri.
